The veterinary health certificate
The single most important document for eggs is the veterinary health certificate, issued for each consignment and tailored to the destination country's requirements. It certifies the flock health and food-safety status importers and their authorities rely on.
Origin, transport and commercial documents
The certificate of origin establishes Indian origin; the bill of lading is the carrier's document of title; the commercial invoice and packing list detail value, quantity and pack. Together these clear customs at the destination.
Halal and market-specific requirements
For the Gulf and several Asian markets, a Halal certificate is standard, and some countries require attestation or legalisation of documents by an embassy or chamber. Our market pages list the documentation notes per destination.
