FSSAI

FSSAI is the domestic food-safety licence that sits behind an Indian egg exporter handling operations.

In short: FSSAI is the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, the national regulator whose licensing covers food handling, grading and packing.

FSSAI, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, is the country apex food-safety regulator, established under the Food Safety and Standards Act. It sets standards for food businesses and issues the licences that food handlers, processors and packers must hold to operate legally in India.

For an egg exporter, FSSAI licensing covers the handling, grading and packing operations on the Indian side, confirming that the facility works to recognised food-safety standards before a single carton is loaded. Buyers treat FSSAI licensing as evidence that the domestic operation is regulated, which complements the export-facing documentation such as the veterinary health certificate and certificate of origin. We are FSSAI-licensed across our handling, grading and packing operations and apply a HACCP-based food-safety plan on top of it. Licence numbers and specimen documents are shared with buyers on request as part of due diligence.
